It’s Pink Paradise, I Promise

Welcome to the pink paradise vacation place of dreams. Georgilas Cave House has been high on my bucket list for years and with plans for my birthday trip being up in the air I made a very last-minute enquiry to see if there was space to accommodate a very special birthday, which worked out divinely.

From the moment I stepped foot in the place, I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be spending my 33rd birthday - a year and numerology that feels particularly kismet in my journey. The place exudes pure tranquillity and puts a pause on everything external - which is exactly what my soul was craving.

Anastasia who has built up a business and a home away from home of dreams, kindly hosted us in the Polimi Mansion which was perfect for my mum and I, as it gave us a degree of separation as the house is sort of split in two. Though it was particularly difficult to choose which side I wanted to reside in for our trip. Naturally, I picked the most unique bed, which OH MY GOD, I slept SO well in, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a good rest as nothing compares to my seventies emperor suite I have at home but this… this hit the spot.

Idyllically located in the town of Galini on the Greek island of Naxos, which is very small and very quiet and everything I look for in escaping and switching off. You’ve got a short walk to a local beach which largely feels deserted, again totally ideal for stripping and switching off and the sea is the softest and clearest I’ve been in since I visited Thailand. Though not totally deserted as you’ve got a bohemian beach bar that largely blasts Bob Marley & pours Pina Coladas for a fairly respectable exchange of ££.

So if you’re scouring the internet for the perfect pink hotel, let me save you time and make this your next vacation. I’m already planning my next trip back. It’s the perfect place for solo travel, a detox, digital nomads - I got to work in the most serene setting with the mountains and olive views in view, girls trips and mostly everything - however it isn’t a party destination as it is a place to relax and that is definitely worth noting.
